Hoyt Barnum House Roof Restoration, 2004

The Hoyt Barnum House has a new roof, courtesy of Tecumseh Woodworks and its owner Steve Hoyt, a relative of the House's builder Samuel Hoyt.

This is the first time the structure has been roofed since 1964 and was long overdue. This also marks the beginning of a continuing program of improvements to take place in and around the house. The Society thanks the City of Stamford for providing capital funds, without which the project could not have been accomplished.

To mark the successful completion of the project and celebrate the rejuvenated Hoyt Homestead, the Society held a reception and fundraiser on October 2nd.
