DANIEL HANRAHAN started a grocery store in West Broad street in 1871. He has lived in Stamford since 1852. In 1860 he purchased and began the improvement of land on Broad Street, west of Mill River, opening up Hanrahan and Green Avenues. Mr. Hanrahan was several times elected Justice of the Peace, Grand Juror and Assessor, and was chosen Representative to the State Legislatiire in 1888 and 1890. Picturesque Stamford, 1892 |
