Blachley Lodge, Noroton Hill, c. 1892

From Picturesque Stamford 1892, pp 106, 107:

Blachley Lodge, property of Mr. Timothy R. Porter, stood on Noroton Hill. The area held several large estates, including the home of Schuyler Merrit [and] seems to have been a fashionable location for Stamford's wealthy.
